PedalPort

PedalPort was conceived by my friend Jason Buntz, a.k.a. Computer Boy. I’m engineering the circuitry and housing. Its purpose is to simplify interfacing your guitar pedals with a pro audio mix environment… i.e. “what would this Tube Screamer sound like on the snare drum?”… find out easily without having to deal with mismatched levels, connector issues, or impedance problems

PedalPort 102

We’re developing PedalPort model 102 first; this is a tabletop two-channel unit. The rear panel accepts +4dB balanced audio via XLR connections, and the front panel has 1/4″ unbalanced send and return with proper level and impedance for guitar effects. Gain trims are provided, as well as a phase flip switch.

The circuitry is designed around quality Burr-Brown and THAT Corp semiconductors, with polypropylene caps and low-noise resistors.

Currently there are three demo units circulating studios in the Austin area.
